Emma and Sandy from our Tourist Information Centre joined Alice on her adverture through the Blackpool Winter Gardens.
We arrived at the Winter Gardens wondering what to expect. There was a group of 35 people (the maximum number they can take) both Adults and children all wondering the same I expect. We were greeted by a lady who took us up the snow filled staircase with Alice themed objects along the way, it felt like a real Winter Wonderland. We entered the Spanish Hall where there were various memorabilia of Alice through Picture Frames. The White Rabbit appeared who was very entertaining, and late! Upon entering the Baronial Hall the cheeky Cheshire cat appeared on the screen that gave us directions to enter the Tea Party with the mad Hatter where there was lots of singing and dancing- very funny!
Other rooms included the Opera House where you met the miniature King and Queen in the Balcony and the Pavilion Theatre with the knights who fought over the crown (also, they sang on stage which was a welcome surprise). You will meet Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dumb, who lived up to their names!
All of the characters were charismatic and thoroughly entertaining; the walk lasts for about an hour and a half, well worth a visit to see inside the rooms of the Wintergardens that you haven’t ever seen before.
I would recommend going and seeing Alice Through The Wintergardens to both adults and children but keep in mind there is lots of standing and walking.
Alice Through the Winter Gardens is appearing daily at the Blackpool Winter Gardens until 18 September. www.alicewintergardens.co.uk

We went last night and throoughly enjoyed every moment of this unique experience. Interactive theatre is something I will eagerly look out for in the future as it adds a great new dimension to arts/entertainment.
